This past Wednesday Rihanna and her “Diamond’s World Tour “made it’s way to Baltimore’s First Mariner Arena (201 W. Baltimore) after the Barbados gal canceled her original tour stop due to a cold. After snapping photos on Instagram with the caption: “Flips bangs #BALTIMORE I came back for you!” she definitely came back and gave her fans a great show.

After A$AP Rocky performed, a deejay played music and kept the crowd entertained, but it was clear everyone only wanted to see and hear one thing, Rihanna. However, when the DJ started playing the Harlem Shake, the entire stadium stood up and joined in!

At exactly 10:04 p.m.,  the lights dimmed and Rihanna finally hit the stage. She opened up the concert with “Mother Mary,” the second song in the medley “Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary” featured on her latest CD. Right after, “Phresh off the Runway” blasted from the speakers while she strutted her stuff  on the stage.

Similar to the Loud Tour, this was a party. Still, it’s clear RiRi stepped up her choreography from her previous tour, because she was showcasing her best Dutty Wine for the Diamonds World Tour. Also, her background dancers looked like mini versions of the pop star, dressed mostly in all black with crop tops and baggy pants.

Rihanna performed a medley of hits including “Umbrella,” “Take a Bow”, “Please Don’t Stop the Music,” “S&M,” “What’s My Name,” just to name a few.  The show also included a set of some of her most popular ballads, including “Love the Way You Lie” “Hate That I Love You,” and my personal favorite song “Cold Case Love.”

At one point while running through the crowd, someone grabbed Rihanna. She exclaimed “Oh Shit!” Still, her body guard came to her aid. (The navy was not playing.)

Rihanna closed her amazing show properly with the title track, “Diamonds.”
